Spectacle frames like these were worn everywhere in Europe from the 14th century onwards. Prescription lenses can be placed in this frame. Ideal for glasses wearing medieval reenactors. Unlike today's glasses, these were not worn with temples in the Middle Ages. They were simply clipped to the nose or tied behind the ears with leather laces.
