2023 Jean Chartron Bourgogne Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes Gamay Plowed vineyardsEntry level with " pedigree" according to our friend and supplier Nick Jackson of Crescendo Imports with whom Michael tasted with as soon as the wines landed. The Old vines deliver taut, layered Burgundian Chardonnay crisp orchard fruit, lemon zest, and gentle texture from fine lees aging and rounder 2023 vintage. Honest, precise, and excels in keeping the wine balanced in a warmer year. A great value for a regional white Burgundy. Buy it up.
