It's a superlative weeknight Pinot made by a thoughtful grower
For years we sold this wine in the Catskills of New York
a touch of smoke and more structured than the cuvée Miette
it's pure aperitif energy
This bottling made up mostly of ancient-vine Nerello Mascalese from the northern slopes of Mount Etna is named for the solidified lava flows (sciare) that cut across the landscape like jet-black scars
2025 Poggio Anima Uriel Grillo Cabernet Sauvignon It's a superlative weeknight PinotAn electric nose of citrus tangerine, grapefruit, white flower. Truly an explosion of flavor on the palate that will shock the system. Sauvignon adjacent, organic, and cheap! We paired this recently with a smokey, rich bowl of carbonara and almost died and went to heaven.
